I had very painful sciatica pain for 9 months, with a herniated L5-S1. I tried acupuncture, chiropractic and pain management approaches. I had 3 epidural steroid injections and was treated for piriformis syndrome with both cortisone and botox. Reduced pain some, but not by much. I finally found Dr Haroun through local search for a neurosurgeon. Was able to get an appointment and found his disposition and knowledge spot on. I had a microdiscectomy surgery and knew when I stood up after the procedure that I was on a good trajectory. Pain free and getting my life back on track. Only wish I had done the consult with Dr Haroun sooner. I waisted time being afraid of surgery and it was the right answer for me. Go now; information is power! The office staff are also easy to work with and very accessible before and after surgery.
